Written Answers. - County Roscommon Water and Sewerage Schemes.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve plans for the Lisheen group water scheme, County Roscommon; and the cost of same.

Grants for this approved scheme were allocated last February and my Department is currently assessing the amount of special contribution required for the scheme in the light of updated tenders recently received by the group. The cost of the scheme is estimated at £564,151.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve plans for the Ballinagard road sewerage scheme, County Roscommon; and the cost of same.

Having regard to the overall cost of this scheme and the capital available this year for the sanitary services programme, it is not possible, at this stage, to indicate when funds can be made available to finance this scheme. It would not be appropriate for me to divulge the capital cost of this scheme as to do so might affect any possible future tendering process.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve plans for an extension of the north-east Roscommon regional waterscheme to Strokestown and Elphin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Having regard to the overall cost of this scheme and the capital available this year for the sanitary services programme, it is not possible, at this stage, to indicate when funds can be made available to finance this scheme.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve plans for the Moore group water scheme, County Roscommon; the cost of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Revised plans for this scheme are awaited from the group. Assessment of the overall costing of the scheme must await receipt of these plans.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve plans for an extension of the North Roscommon regional water scheme to Fairymount; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Having regard to the overall cost of this proposal and the capital available this year for the sanitary services programme, it is not possible, at this stage, to indicate when funds can be made available to finance this proposal.
