asked the Minister for Health if he will outline his plans for the reorganisation of the health boards.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 29 and 36 together. My objective in relation to health board organisation is to ensure that health boards are fully equipped structurally and managerially to plan, manage and deliver health and social services in an efficient, effective, equitable and accountable manner to meet the genuine health service needs of the population. Specifically in relation to organisational matters I have established a number of projects which will assist in identifying the best options in relation to the delivery and management of services and the structural changes which are desirable.
