asked the Minister for Education if it is intended to proceed in 1989 with the building of the inner city Vocational Education Committee community college on the Seán MacDermott Street site, Dublin 1 which was deferred in 1988 because money was not provided for its construction in the 1988 Estimates; if she will ensure that the moneys are provided in the 1989 Estimates; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I am aware of the conditions at St. Garvan's vocational school, Great Denmark Street. It is my intention to have St. Garvan's and the vocational school in Parnell Square replaced by the North Inner City Community College, Seán MacDermott Street.
It is not possible, however, to indicate at this stage if money will be available in the 1989 Estimates for the building of this school.
