A module on "Sexism and Sex Stereotyping in Primary Education" will be included in all in-service courses for primary teachers organised by my Department's inspectors this summer.
With regard to post-primary teachers, specific seminars and courses have been held in this area, and I have instructed the officials of my Department involved with the organisation of courses to see that issues regarding equality and the elimination of sexism are covered in in-service courses generally.
