asked the Minister for Education if moneys have been allocated in the 1989 Estimates for a new primary school at Lispole, County Kerry.

In relation to capital which will become available to my Department in 1989 for the national schools building programme, no specific capital allocation has been made for Lispole, County Kerry. The Deputy is understood to be referring to an application for grant assistance towards the cost of building a new central school at Lispole, County Kerry, to replace existing schools at Clooncurra and Minard Castle. Because of capital constraints, the original proposals for the new school were not proceeded with. I am having the matter reviewed in the light of conditions in and enrolments at the two existing schools.
