asked the Minister for Education if her recently allocated quota of teaching posts to Kildare Vocational Education Committee is sufficient to meet the requirements of that body; if her attention has been drawn to the committee's request for the allocation of further teachers; if she accepts that failure to supply the extra teachers required will seriously affect the ability of Kildare Vocational Education Committee to give an adequate service; if it is her intention to allocate the extra teaching posts; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Following the recent issue by my Department of a revised allocation of teaching staff to County Kildare VEC in respect of full time day courses for the 1988/89 session a letter has been received in my Department from the acting chief executive officer seeking a further revision in the staffing allocation.
The acting chief executive officer's letter is currently under consideration by officials of my Department.
