I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration which was lodged in the Land Registry on 25 March 1986. Such applications are usually of a complex legal nature often involving extensive correspondence with solicitors. The application in question is the subject of such correspondence and I am informed that the Land Registry is awaiting a reply to queries issued to the applicant's solicitor on 15 September 1987 before it can process the application further. The Registry issued a reminder to the relevant solicitor on 14 November 1988.
As I explained to the Deputy in my reply to a previous Dáil question in this case on 28 April 1987 (Vol. 372, No. 1, Cols. 89-90) there has been no undue delay in dealing with this application.
