asked the Minister for the Marine the number of vehicles which are owned by his Department, or by agencies or State boards under his aegis; and the number of these vehicles which are capable of using lead free petrol.

At present the Department of the Marine own three vehicles, two of which are diesel driven. The remaining petrol driven vehicle is not capable of using lead free petrol.

The Central and Regional Fisheries Boards own a total of 141 vehicles, 46 of which are diesel driven. Of the remaining vehicles, (95) only four are capable of using lead free petrol.

Bord Iascaigh Mhara have a total of three vehicles, two of which are diesel driven. The other petrol driven vehicle is suitable for conversion to lead free petrol.

I do not have the information requested by the Deputy in respect of the commercial harbour authorities under the aegis of my Department.
