asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed Kilsarcon/Ballahantourigh group water supply scheme, County Kerry and the construction of a reservoir at Kilsarcon in the parish of Killeentierna, County Kerry with a view to servicing the water scheme development in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter having regard to the large number of householders and farmers in this district who do not have a good piped water supply.

The proposed Ballahantourigh group water scheme is dependent for its supply on part B of the northern section of the Firies/Scartaglen public water supply scheme, contract documents for which are at present under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the capital provision this year and in 1989 for the sanitary services programme, it is not possible to indicate at this stage, when funds for this latter scheme may be provided.
