asked the Minister for the Environment when sanction will be given for the Inchigaggain sewer/ Curaheen river drainage scheme, County Cork which was designed to relieve flooding in the Model Farm Road for Cork city.

As a certificate confirming the acquisition of all necessary lands and wayleaves in connection with this scheme is awaited from Cork Corporation, it is not possible for me to anticipate when the scheme might be approved to go to tender and construction.

asked the Minister for the Environment when sanction will be given for the Glen, Bride and Kiln river drainage improvement scheme phase 2, which was a scheme to relieve major flooding in the Blackpool area of Cork city.

As a certificate confirming the acquisition of all necessary lands and wayleaves in connection with this scheme is awaited from Cork Corporation, it is not possible for me to anticipate when the scheme might be approved to go to tender and construction.
