A sum of £300,000 is provided in my Department's Vote for 1988 in respect of publicity and advertising. The bulk of the payments are made to the official contractor (Brindley Advertising Ltd.) and smaller amounts to other agencies for various public awareness campaigns. A similar amount will be provided in 1989.
In addition to the above a sum of approximately £20,000 will be paid in 1988 to the communication consultants referred to in my reply to Question No. 202 of 14 October 1987. A similar amount will be provided in 1989.
