My Department provides grant-aid to youth organisations under the youth service grant scheme. Moneys are not, however, paid to regional affiliates of national youth organisations where the national body is already being funded under the scheme. In this instance therefore any application for funding from the Dublin Youth Theatre could be considered only in the context of an application by the National Association of Youth Drama under the 1989 scheme.
