Vol. 386 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding Applications.

116.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the moneys from the national lottery which have been allocated for projects in the Dublin South constituency; if he will name each such project in respect of which moneys were allocated; and the amounts in each case.

Grants under the scheme of grants to voluntary social services organisations administered by my Department and funded from the national lottery in 1988 are allocated to organisations and groups who apply following advertisements in the national media. Grants are allocated in accordance with health board areas following consultation with the boards. The amount allocated in the Eastern Health Board area, in which the Dublin South constituency is located, was £388,850 in respect of 57 projects. None of these was in respect of social services in the Dublin South constituency.

Six applications were received from voluntary organisations in the Dublin South constituency.
