It is assumed that the Deputy is referring to the implementation by the local authorities concerned of the Local Government (Multi-Storey Buildings) Act, 1988, which deals with structural aspects of certain buildings. I understand that the local authorities have initiated the necessary action to implement the Act and that a number of owners have begun the appraisal and certification process in advance of formal notification by the local authorities.
