Vol. 386 No. 1

Written Answers. - FEOGA Guidance Fund.

16.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the provisions he has made for agriculture within the national development plan for drawing down extra money from the FEOGA guidance fund, in view of the doubling of the Structural Funds over the next four years.

An overall plan for the drawdown of moneys from the EC Structural Funds between now and 1992 is at present in the course of preparation. It will include detailed proposals on agricultural and rural development both in regard to new arrangements and the improvement of existing arrangements. The plan involving national and regional programmes will be the framework through which finance from the three Structural Funds will be maximised. Until the plan has been finalised it would not be appropriate for me to provide information as to the provision being made in respect of receipts from the FEOGA Guidance Fund.
