The following table sets out the information available. The estimates, which are derived from the sample Passenger Card Inquiry, cover all overseas visits by non-residents during the periods specified. Visitors, i.e. non-residents, were asked to indicate which of the four categories specified covered the reason for their journey to Ireland.
Data for the fourth quarter of 1988 is not yet available.
