asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will have a tax rebate issued to him; and if so, when.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the inspector of taxes has no record of receipt of a claim for a tax rebate from the taxpayer. The inspector will now write to the taxpayer for the details necessary to bring his tax affairs up to date.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange for the payment of a tax rebate due to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that there is no refund of tax due in this case.

The taxpayer's wife was advised of the position by the inspector of taxes when she telephoned the tax office on 16 January, 1989. The inspector will now write to the taxpayer to clarify the position.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange for payment of a tax rebate to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that a refund of income tax of £252.05 will issue shortly to the taxpayer. He may make further claims to repayment at four-weekly intervals in the current year, if he remains unemployed.
