The entry requirements for universities generally and the specific requirements for particular faculties are matters for the appropriate authorities in the universities. A working party in my Department have examined the third level entry procedures and have reported to me. I am considering the recommendations of the working party and in the course of this I will address the question of the appropriateness of subject weightings generally including those for continental languages.
