, Limerick West): The procedure for the award of the good conduct medal is laid down in Defence Force Regulations, which provide that not more than 60 medals shall be awarded annually.
The non-commissioned officer to whom you refer has not been selected this year, which is only the second year of the award of this medal. This does not of course, imply that his service has not been satisfactory.
