I presume that the Deputy is referring to proposals for phase 2 of the Kilkenny ring road involving an extension of the ring road northwards from the Carlow road (N10) to the Athy road (N77).
The proposed extension is not included in the operational programme for road development for the period 1989 to 1993 which was submitted to the Commission of the European Communities on 30 March, 1989. It is not possible at this stage to indicate when the scheme in question is likely to start.
