Vol. 392 No. 1

Written Answers. - Navan Hospital Scanner.

294.

asked the Minister for Health, with reference to his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 55 of 20 April 1988 in which it was stated that a decision would be reached in the near future regarding an application from the North-Eastern Health Board of 25 March 1988 for funds from the national lottery towards the provision of a scanner for Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, County Meath, when he intends making this decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Deputy will appreciate that, in view of the relatively small amount of national lottery proceeds available to me and the many requests received for assistance, I was not in a position to accede to all requests received. If, however, additional proceeds become available, the question of assistance towards the purchase of a scanner for Our Lady's Hospital, Navan can be raised again.
