The figures requested by the Deputy for waiting lists in Tralee are set out hereunder: Hips, 140; Knee, 17.
An additional allocation of £1.09 million was given to the Southern Health Board following the Government decision of 18 July 1989 to spend a total of £15 million to reduce the waiting time on public elective waiting lists. The additional allocation to Tralee will allow for an extra 50 hip operations to be carried out this year.
