It is a matter for the health board to assess the need for particular types of specialist personnel and to decide upon the priority needs for such staff, having regard to the resources available to them and the availability of the personnel in question. I understand that the health board has a vacancy for a speech therapist in the area which it is attempting to fill. I have no proposals from the board before me for any further appointments.
