Vol. 392 No. 1

Written Answers. - Medical Treatment.

317.

asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare whose general practitioner's diagnosis calls for an urgent discogram at the Adelaide Hospital, Dublin 2; whether there are sufficient facilities available to meet this request at present; if not, the steps he proposes to take to meet the request; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that the patient referred to is on the urgent waiting list for a discogram in the Adelaide Hospital. The urgency attached to any patient's condition is a matter for the consultant's clinical judgment.
