asked the Minister for Education (i) the number of applicants for the first year of full time courses in the year 1987-88 at all regional technical colleges (ii) the number of full time registered students in each of the third level colleges in the year 1987-88 and (iii) the number of registered students to be broken down yearly, i.e. the number of students in (a) first year and (b) second year.

The relevant information is contained in the following tabular statement. The information in columns 2, 3 and 4 was taken from the educational schemes furnished to the Department by the colleges concerned.
