In answer to the Deputy's first part of the question, the precise number of national schools closed/amalgamated/moved for 1987 was twenty-six (26) thirty-three (33) in 1988 and eight (8) up to 19 October 1989.
As to the second part of the Deputy's question regarding the actual sum repaid to the State this information is not readily available. The information is being sought and I shall have it transmitted to the Deputy as soon as possible.
