Mr. Durkan

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport the total number and names of appointees to various State or State appointed boards or committees, Government Departments or ministerial offices other than permanent civil servants since March 1987; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The total number of persons appointed to the boards of State-sponsored bodies and authorities under the aegis of my Department, to the Department of Tourism and Transport, to the Office of the Minister for Tourism and Transport and to the Offices of the Ministers of State at the Department of Tourism and Transport since March 1987, other than permanent civil servants, is 31. The names of these persons, and the bodies to which they were appointed, are given in the following tabular statements:
