Written Answers. - Departmental Staff on Constituency Work.
61.
Comprehensive data on the number of personnel within my Department whose sole or primary function is dealing with constituency inquiries in the years from 1976 to 1989 are not readily available. The compilation of such data would involve an inordinate amount of staff costs and time.
The number of persons currently engaged on constituency work in my general office is three; in the office of the Minister of State, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, two; in the office of the Minister of State, Vincent Brady, three; and in the office of the Minister of State at the Department of the Gaeltacht, Pat the Cope Gallagher, five.
