Vol. 392 No. 4

Written Answers. - Kerry School Transport.

185.

asked the Minister for Education when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be provided with either free transport or a transport grant from his home to Killarney railway station twice a week to enable him to attend the school for hearing impaired children in Cork, having regard to previous representations.

A special transport grant in respect of this pupil's private transport arrangement to Killarney has been sanctioned for the current school year by my Department in addition to the free transport which has been provided for some time for the pupil from Killarney to Cork. The grant will be paid subject to the terms of the scheme including the appropriate level of attendance.
