The proposed extension has completed the developed sketch scheme stage of architectural planning.
In line with other major building projects it is currently under review by my Department prior to proceeding to the next stage of planning.

The question of the provision of a suitable permanent extension to Glenderry national school, County Kerry, is being considered in the context of the capital available and the expectation that enrolments will decline over the next few years. A decision will be conveyed to the school authorities at the earliest possible date. I am not in a position at this stage to say when building works will commence.
