The premises in question are still in the occupation of the Garda Síochána, pending completion of the contract for the erection of a new Garda station at Westport. If the premises, when vacated, are found to be surplus to requirements they will be offered for sale on the open market, pursuant to Government policy on disposal of surplus State property.
