Vol. 392 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Rathmines (Dublin) Post Office Dispute.

4.

asked the Minister for Labour if, due to the continuing dispute in Rathmines Post Office, Dublin 6, he will take all steps possible to bring the matter to a conclusion in order to avert further inconvenience to the local residents and the local business community.

From inquiries I have made with An Post I understand that the counter services and staff of Rathmines Post Office were moved on a temporary basis to the Rathmines Town Centre to enable renovations to be carried out at the post office. A dispute about the adequacy of the renovations in relation to access to toilet facilities arose. This has now been resolved and it is expected that the renovations will be completed to allow the staff return in the next week or so.
