asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the proposed development at the Patrician Academy, Mallow, County Cork; if she will give a commitment that this work will be allowed to proceed in 1989; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 159 and 160 together.
I am not in a position at present to indicate when this project may proceed to the next stage (stage 6 — tender action and report) of my Department's design team procedures. The rate at which this and other such projects can proceed is dependent on the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities.
