The person named has been requested to submit figures agreed with the income tax authorities for his off-farm earnings for year ended 5 April 1988. When he submits the information required the question of his eligibility for 1988 cattle headage and suckler cow schemes grants will be considered further.

His 1988 calf premium scheme grants will be paid shortly. He did not apply for grants under 1988 special beef premium scheme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the amount of the farm development grant that is to be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly; the basis of assessment; and if the higher level of grant can be paid in this case.

The project in this case is eligible for a maximum grant of £1,859. This is based on the rates of grant obtaining on the date approval was issued. As this date preceded the introduction of the control of farmyard pollution scheme the project cannot qualify for the higher rate of grant.
