My Department do not have figures for the numbers of persons who have been assessed in accordance with the guidelines and are awaiting orthodontic treatment in each of the health boards. In some boards the numbers on the waiting lists represent cases awaiting assessment, many of which may not subsequently require treatment. The numbers on the orthodontic waiting lists for assessment or for treatment in the various health boards are as follows:
