asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the extension to Stuake national school, Donoughmore, County Cork.

The Deputy is understood to be referring to the national school known officially as Ballykerwick National School, Donoughmore, County Cork.

Tenders for the agreed extension to the school have been received and are being examined. The examination of the tenders will be completed at the earliest possible date and a decision conveyed to the school authorities.

I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when building works will commence.

asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the extension to Aghabullogue national school, County Cork.

I have recently approved the placing of the contract for the proposed extension to Aghabullogue national school, County Cork. My Department will now ask the school authorities to remit the local contribution on receipt of which the contract will be placed.

Once the local contribution is received my Department will take all necessary steps to ensure that the builder will commence building operations promptly.
