The document entitled Comprehensive Public Expenditure Programmes is not published on an annual basis. The full volume was published in 1986 and in 1988 but a summary volume only, entitled Summary of Public Expenditure Programmes was published in 1987 and is proposed for 1989. Consequently, the detailed educational data and descriptive material is not available on an annual basis for inclusion in my Department's annual Statistical Report. The annual Statistical Report already contains, in table 7 of section I, financial data corresponding generally to the summary information contained in the Summary of Public Expenditure Programmes and consideration is being given to the revision of this table to bring the data more in line with the current Department votes and with the public expenditure programme presentation.
