Capital grants are made available to one and two teacher schools in the interest of keeping these school buildings serviceable and comfortable. Three teacher or larger schools are entitled under the rules for national schools to apply for capital grants in respect of a wide range of improvements. Subject to the advices of my Department's professional staff grants are sanctioned towards the cost of such improvements in the case of these schools.
