I am aware of the exceptionally good progress being made by Limerick Corporation in the Limerick designated area. During 1989 the corporation made a comprehensive submission to my Department in relation to the roads and footpaths in the designated area. The question of assistance from my Department is now being considered having regard, inter alia, to the timing of private sector developments in the area.
