The Commissioners of Public Works have asked the ten firms who tendered for the construction of new decentralised offices for the Department of Education in Athlone to submit updated costings based on their original design proposals. These revised quotations are due for receipt on Friday 24 November 1989 and the commissioners hope to place a contract shortly afterwards. Construction work will take 12-15 months to complete.
