I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that they are not aware that the person in question was the owner of the vehicle at the time of its seizure. The vehicle was seized from and subsequently released to a person who claimed to have bought it at an auction. The person referred to by the Deputy was in contact with the customs following the seizure but did not represent himself as the owner of the vehicle at that time.
