My Department: (1) grant-aids the provision of part-time tution in practical subjects in special national schools; (2) authorises VECs, in a number of cases, to provide teaching hours for instruction in practical subjects in special national schools; (3) grant-aids directly the employment of instructors in vocational training centres subject to certain conditions.
As the centre referred to by the Deputy is neither a special national school nor a recognised vocational training centre it does not qualify for financial assistance for teaching instruction from my Department.
