Vol. 394 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dublin House Ownership.

60.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will provide the name of the person registered at the Land Registry as the owner of an address (details supplied) in Dublin 6 about which constituents who live locally are very concerned since the house appears to be abandoned and, therefore, could be entered by undesirables thereby putting the safety and security of the property and persons living nearby at risk.

It would not be appropriate to provide the information sought by the Deputy by way of reply to a Dáil question. The legal position is that the information may be obtained by inspecting the records in the Land Registry on payment of the prescribed fee which in this case is 30p.

Applications may also be made by post to the Land Registry. However, such applications usually involve requisitions for certified copy folios, the fee for which is £3 each.
