asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the condition of the community centre at Farranree, Cork, he will give the following information (a) the original estimate of the total cost for the construction and completion of the building (b) the amount and date of the original grant approval (c) the date of the payment of grants and (d) the latest estimate of further expenditure required to put the centre in order; and if he will make further funds available to the centre.

A grant of £50,000 was allocated on 7 March, 1986 under the amenity grants scheme towards the provision of this community centre, the estimated cost of which was £90,000. An instalment of £30,000 was paid on 27 November, 1986 and the balance of the grant was paid on 15 December, 1986. I have had no request from Cork Corporation for further funding for the community centre.
