328 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for the Environment if he intends to make further resources available to Dublin County Council to enable them to proceed more rapidly to carry out the Traveller Settlement Programme in the county, having regard to the fact that some of the delays at present are due to the lack of resources to maintain in a fit condition the existing sites.

I am satisfied that sufficient capital funding will be available to Dublin County Council in 1990 to continue their programme of providing serviced caravan parks for travellers.

The financing of the current costs and expenses relating to the maintenance and management of residential caravan parks for travelling families is a matter for the housing authorities concerned.
