Ceist:80 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Health when he proposes to introduce the order to allow for the appointment of two representatives from Galway Borough Council to the Western Health Board.

Both Houses of the Oireachtas are required by statute to approve, by way of resolution, the proposed amendment to the Health Boards Regulations, 1970, to enable Galway Borough Council appoint members to the Western Health Board.
Such a resolution was passed by Seanad Éireann in December. The necessary resolution will be put before this House as soon as possible.
