Vol. 395 No. 7

Written Answers. - Farm Grants.

Michael Moynihan

Ceist:

43 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the total amount of headage payment made in County Kerry under the EC headage payments scheme in 1989; the number of payments which are outstanding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The total amount of headage payments made in County Kerry in 1989 was £11.753 million. Some 6,500 Kerry applicants have already received advance payments of 1989 cattle and equines headage or beef cow and equines headage. However, payments totalling only about £3.19 million in all are now outstanding in Kerry. It is hoped to pay this £3.19 million over the next two to three months.
