Written Answers. - Milk Quota.

Ceist:

78 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food, having regard to the distribution of the 11 million gallons of milk from the EC quota, the additional gallonage for which the following categories of dairy farmers will qualify: (a) farmers on an existing quota of 5,000 gallons or less, (b) farmers on an existing quota of 10,000 gallons or less and (c) farmers on an existing quota of 15,000 gallons or less.

I have announced the details for the allocation of the additional 11 million gallons of quota which provides eight million gallons for producers under 12,800 gallons.

It will not be possible to say what the level of allocation to individual producers will be until the applications have been received. The final date for receipt of applications is 28 February 1990.
