Vol. 398 No. 4

Written Answers. - Carrig (Tipperary) School.

Michael Lowry

Ceist:

144 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for Education when she will grant approval to commence planning the extension to Carrig national school, County Tipperary involving two new classrooms, the conversion of two existing rooms into one, the provision of toilet facilities and play area; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

As I informed the Deputy on 30 April 1990 I have approved an extension of two permanent classrooms at Carrig national school, County Tipperary. The existing school will be converted into one standard classroom, a staff room and library/medical room. Suitable toilet facilities will be included in the project as well as the provision of adequate play-space, as required. The architectural planning for the project will be put in hands at an early date.
