Ceist:148 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education when she will approve the preparation of tender documents for the new school building at Wexford vocational school.

In common with all such building proposals this project has recently been reviewed in the context of anticipated enrolments both in the short and long-term. The plans for the project which are at stage 4 (detailed design) of my Department's design team procedures are currently being revised to take account of the results of this review, and revised documentation is awaited from the VEC's design team. Pending receipt of this documentation and its examination by my Department, I am not in a position to say when planning will advance to the next stage, which is the preparation of the bill of quantities.
